Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009)

Michael Jackson was born on August 29 1958 at 7.33 pm, in St. Mercy Mary Hospital, Gary, Indiana. He was the eight of ten children of Katherine Esther Jackson (born May 4, 1930) and Joseph Walter Jackson (July 26, 1928 – June 27, 2018) .

Michael Jackson has three children:

  • Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (Prince). Born February 13, 1997 in  Beverly Hills, California, United States.  (Parents  Michael JacksonDebbie Rowe)
  • Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson  April 3, 1998 in  Beverly Hills, California, United States. (Parents  Michael JacksonDebbie Rowe)
  • Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket / Bigi). Born  February 21, 2002 Sharp Grossmont Hospital, La Mesa, California, United States  (Parents Michael Jackson and an unknown woman)

In 1963 Michael’s mum became a Jehova Witness. This is the reason why she never divorced Joe, even though he was abusive and repeatedly cheated her. Michael Jackson and his mother Katherine went door to door to preach Jehova. Michael Jackson’s father never adopted the religion. 

In 1963 the group the Jackson Brothers was formed featuring Jackie, Tito and Jermaine. Jermaine was the leadsinger of the group in that time

In 1966 the younger brothers Marlon and Michael joined the group and the Jackson Brothers was renamed tot the Jackson 5.

 

The Jackson 5 won  many talent shows. This resulted in them to audition for Motown. 
July 23, 1968 The Jackson 5 Audition for Motown with Michael Jackson as a leadsinger. 

 

In 1969 executives at Motown decided that Diana Ross should introduce the Jackson 5 to the public. In 1969 the Jackson 5 made their first television appearance in the Miss Black America Pageant where they performed a cover of "It's Your Thing"

The Song Ben was released July 12, 1972. The song is about a special relationship with the rat “Ben” The song was originally written for Donny Osmond, but Donny Osmond was on tour at the time and unavailable for the recording. So Black and Scharf offered the song to Michael Jackson instead.

The first song of Michael Jackson that reached the  top of the Billboard Hot 100 was “Ben” in 1972.

April 15, 1973  The third studio album of Michael jackson, “Music and Me” is released, this album was released by Motown.

January 16, 1975  The fourth  studio album of Michael jackson, “Forever” is released.

1983  Michael Jackson found out that some Jehova Witnesses did not like the fact that he  was making a music video “about a werewolf’. Michael Jackson almost wanted to destroy it, but later decided to add a disclaimer tot he video as a compromise before the video was aired.

In 1983 the Jackson 5 signed an endorsement deal with PepsiCo.

Jan 27, 1984 Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire on the set of the “Convention” commercial. Michael Jackson was treated for second and third degree burns. Which is the reason why Michael Jackson was in pain ever since and why he took pain medication against the pain which were are result of the burns.

By 1984 despite of his tremendous fame and growing  fortune Michael Jackson was still going door to door for the Jehova faith. Before going door to door Michael Jackson was disguising himself for example by wearing a moustache. Because he wanted the people to take him seriously.

Feb. 28, 1984. Michael Jackson became the first artist to win eight GRAMMYs in one night at the 26th Annual GRAMMY Awards 

In 1985 the charity single “We are the World” was was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World.

1988 – Michael Jackson bought the Neverland Ranch.

In the spring of 1987 Michael Jackson left the Jehova Witnesses.

August 31, 1987 The album “Bad”’ was released.”Bad” was the seventh studio album by Michael Jackson. The album was recorded January 1985 – July 1987 by Westlake, Los Angeles, California.‎

"Heal the World" was released November 23, 1992, Heal the World is recorded  June 25, 1990 – October 30, 1991

In 1993 Michael Jackson got accused of sexual molestation of 13 year old Jordan Christopher "Jordy" Chandler. Michael Jackson was on top of his career in 1993 and was advised to settle with the Chandlers.

In January Michael Jackson reached a $23 milion out of court settlement with the Chandlers. After the settlement the Chandlers still could have taken Michael Jackson to court but they decided not to. In september 1994 the Chandlers declined to further cooperate to the case, leaving the case without the main witness

1995  -The videoclip Scream (1995) is still the most expensive videoclip ever made.

1996 to october 1997 History World  tour with 83 shows .

September 11, 2001. Michael Jackson could have been one of the vicitims op the 9/11 attacks but he overslept because he stayed up late to talk with his mother Katherine Jackson. That’s why Michael Jackson missed his appointment which was scheduled to take place in the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.

In 2003 Michael Jackson got accused of sexual abuse by 13 year old Gavin Arvizo. The  2005 trail ended with Michael Jackson’s acquittal on all accounts.

Because Michael Jackson had to defend himself in courtcases he had mounting debts. In 2008 Michael Jackson entered Neverland into an ownership agreement with private investment firm Colony Capital for $23 milion dollars.

In 2009 the only active Jehova Witnesses were Katherine and Rebbie Jackson. The husband of Rebbie Jackson, Nathaniel Brown, was an elder.

In 2009 Michael Jackson was the best selling artist, this was the year of his death.

On June 25, 2009, died of a cardiac arrest which was the result of  acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication. Michael died at his home on North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

On the day that  Michael Jackson died, Wikipedia, AOL and Twitter all crashed at the same time 3.15 pm.

Michael Jackon’s doctor, Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter on November 8, 2011

2020 - A former family friend, Ron Burke, has bought Sycamore Valley Ranch formerly known as the Neverland Ranch for $22 milion dollars.
